Ireland

Seeing ancient druidic ruins was my favorite novels coming alive right in front of my eyes. Trekking through rain and mud and manure by myself in the middle of winter was terrifying, exhilarating, and probably one of the best times of my life.

My misadventures in Dublin, for all the stress and loneliness, were, at the end of the day, pretty incredible as well. I learned that there are still people in this world who will act selflessly and kindly and give you a heartfelt welcome without even knowing you. It reminded me that there is good in everyone and you can find the silver lining in any situation.
